The “Sommelier” Joe Weis is the director of food and beverage at Wish restaurant. With a degree in hospitality management from the well-respected University of Garmisch in his native land of Germany and his passion for wine, he has been
regarded an expert in the field. “Wine was a big part of my culture and with Germany’s proximity to France there was always great wine in the house.” Weis credits those childhood memories,
as well as time spent working in German wine yards during college, for steering him towards hospitality. Under Weis’ auspices, Wish has won Wine Spectator’s “Award for Excellence” for four consecutive years.
