2006 FAR NIENTE CHARDONNAY FROM NAPA VALLEY
Aromas of melon, guava and ripe fig are layered with toasty spices that resemble hazelnut and clove. In 2006 Napa Valley experienced one of the wettest seasons for 150 years which delayed the harvest and perhaps contributed to this flavorful
vintage. Far Niente blends wines from its various Chardonnay vineyards to create its distinctive style. When young, these wines offer fresh fruit and a marvelous finish; with time, they slowly reveal the wine's complex nature through added texture, richness, weight, and depth.
Available at fine wine outlets. Approx. $43 per bottle.
