FEVER RAY Fever Ray (2009)

The first self-titled album by breakout Swedish musician Karin Dreijer Andersson (of The Knife) was written after the artist gave birth to her second child. The album conveys an urgency and introspection generated from new life and sleepless nights. Ambient, rhythmic and meditative, Fever Ray brings together a mix of inspirations, sources and experimentations in electronic music. Andersson’s deep and powerful vocals hold the spacious and eclectic sound with haunting results.
