WENDY AND LUCY

WENDY AND LUCY directed by Kelly Reichardt (2008) Michelle Williams stars as Wendy in this independent film about a young woman and her only companion, a dog named Lucy. Wendy and Lucy is filmed in stark realism, mostly set in a small town in Oregon with strip malls and rural life. What was meant to be a brief stopover on a road trip to Alaska so Wendy can find work turns into a touching journey. After Wendy’s car breaks down and a series of events causes Lucy to get lost, the film provides a powerful and fundamental lesson on the impact of choice, love and letting go.
