The leaves are changing, which means autumn is in full swing. And if there's one thing that signals the arrival of fall, it's wind - lots of it! Blustery, breezy days are a great excuse to put on that cozy knit and cute scarf, but letting your locks flow free on a windy day is no fun at all. You'll wind up with tangles, split ends and a messy style. In addition to using moisturizing hair products, you'll want to wear your hair back when the breeze really picks up. Here are three easy looks to sport.
1. A low side ponytail. Gather hair at the nape of your neck and pull it into a ponytail. Then toss it over one shoulder for a chic look in a few seconds flat! The low style means your neck will stay toasty - and you can still wear a cute cap to keep your ears warm. For a little added haute couture, leave a small section of hair free from the ponytail, then wrap it around the base and secure it with a pin to hide the elastic.
2. A messy bun. Embrace the wind by wearing your hair up in a messy, effortless style that still looks fresh and professional. Give your hair some texture by adding a product, like Steiner Identity Lightweight Definition Cream 125ml, to your locks when you step out of the shower. Once dry, gather tresses in your hands and secure with an elastic. Pull out a few pieces to frame your face, and you're ready to go!
3. A fishtail braid. Spice up this childhood classic by braiding with only two strands instead of three for the unique "fishtail" look that's been so popular on the runways lately. Wear it straight down your back or pull it to the side for some added drama.
