Make it work: Learn the makeup that stuns with your hair color

It's no secret that certain beauty products do not work on all skin tones or face shapes. However, ladies may be less familiar with styles that work - and do not - based on hair color. Women's Health magazine recently dished on the top makeup colors that look fabulous on ladies of certain hair tones so they can feel beautiful and confident when they get dolled up.

Dark mavens
Ladies with dark brown or black locks have plenty to be thankful for, even if it's said that blondes have more fun. The lighter locked women may be more lively, but brunettes can wear tons of different makeup styles due to the fact that the dark hue helps shape their faces, creating a "gorgeous canvas for bolder choices," a makeup artist told the news source.

You can add major drama to your current eye makeup routine by purchasing an eyeshadow palette with metallic-toned golds, coppers or bronze hues. On the same note, if you prefer to walk on the wild side, you can feel free to express your true colors wearing bolder colors like plums, reds and deep purples - either on your cheeks and eyes or your fabulous pout.

Tip: If you're looking to stand out with a bold lip color, make sure to keep flaking and chapping at bay by first applying Bliss products like Bliss Fabulips Softening Lip Balm to keep lips soft and moisturized.

Blonde bombshells
If you were blessed with naturally blonde locks, then you might be better off sticking to lighter, more natural makeup than the rich colors that work best on your dark-haired friends. Since your hair color can start to blend in with your complexion, it's more appropriate to highlight your best features using products in the peach, light pink and gold families than anything else.

Enhance your cheeks, chin and bridge of your nose using an illuminating beauty product like California Sun Glow. This bronzing blush powder helps create a sun-kissed look that is natural, giving off a beautiful healthy glow.

Regal redheads
Natural redheads tend to benefit from having warmer complexions than women with other hair colors. A beauty expert suggest women with red hair enhance this warmness through beauty products in the apricot or brown family.

However, when it comes to eye makeup, color is certainly the name of the game. Redheaded beauties can feel free to experiment with jewel-tone colors like emerald green eyeshadow or even electric blue options to stand out.
