Spring trends that will help you rule the office runway

It's time to jump into spring with style now that the weather around parts of the nation is finally starting to warm up. If you're looking to reinvent your look for spring, Marie Claire magazine is here to help. The fashion, beauty and health experts recently dished on the top spring trends for 2013, and ways in which you can make them work in your closet too.

Pretty in pastels
The first trend to help you ease into spring is pastels. From blazers and cropped skinny jeans to accessories and beauty products, the season is abuzz with these fun and muted colors. If the weather is still a bit on the chilly side where you live, you can still embrace the pastel frenzy - just with a few modifications.

For example, dare to wear that new seafoam green skirt with the addition of black tights and chic boots to ensure you're warm while looking sassy. You can also opt to embrace the soft colors by way of your professional nail polish. Rocking a shade from the CND Nail Colour - Neutrals collection like Cheeky is sure to garner some major attention from your co-workers.

Ladylike lace
Lace is the second trend to rock in spring, and luckily, you can do so in a number of ways. This ultra feminine fabric is gorgeous and can help enhance your outfit in an instant. Try rocking a chic lace dress to work or dress it down a bit by opting for a cool long-sleeved shirt with lace detailing on the front. The latter is a fabulous option for brunch with the girls or even a Saturday morning breakfast with your beau.

You could also rock lace on your nails in a few easy steps, Tumblr reports. To do so, start by selecting a nail polish hue you like and then heading to the fabric store to pick out a section of lace fabric (black tends to stand out best). At home, cut the lace into sizes that will fit on your nails, and then paint the shade you want on each nail and stick the piece of fabric on top before the color dries. Finish the look with a coat of clear polish for a stand-out style.

Sassy stripes
The last trend to attempt this spring is stripes. Whether you decide to go classic with black and white options, or dare to be bolder with colorful styles, this look is major for the current season. Feel free to play with both horizontal and vertical stripes and different fabrics to increase your style worth.
