Most women will admit that they'll work out and eat healthy to look fabulous for an upcoming vacation, but will then cheat and eat tons of delicious (but bad for them) fare while away. Though having a few filling pina coladas or enjoying some fresh fried fish is OK, there are ways to have a great vacation without coming back bloated. 

A recent survey conducted by TripIt found being able to exercise or eat well on vacation was either somewhat or very stressful for 67 and 66 percent of all people surveyed respectively. Finding ways to curb this anxiety will not only help women feel better and more relaxed while away, it can also help them get back into a normal routine upon return. Here are a few ways to plan smart and feel fabulous while away:

Book a room with a kitchen
Sure, tasting the local fare is a must at least once while on vacation, but opting to splurge on a hotel suite with a kitchen can help families cut back on how much they're eating out, which is an instant calorie-cutter. Woman's Day reports having a kitchen allows you to purchase healthy foods like fruits and vegetables to store and munch on when a craving sets in. 

On the same note, taking inventory of restaurant menus and opting to sample two appetizers or an app and a salad instead of a main course will also help keep the weight off, according to TripIt.

Pack your sneakers
It can be easy to forgo your normal workout routine - especially if you pack just enough to ensure your running kicks won't fit. However, simply making room for your sneakers might make the difference between an excuse and taking a gorgeous hike through the jungle or along the property of your resort. 

The experts at Woman's Day recommend traveling in your sneakers if you fear not having enough room in your suitcase. Not only will this help you at least think about working out, it will certainly be more comfortable when running to catch a plane.

Bring your favorite snacks and products
Packing a few delicious snacks such as hearty and healthy nuts is a great way to get full prior to a day of shopping or visiting the beach.
