Find sunglasses that fit your face

Find sunglasses that fit your face

Nothing says summer is here quite like the smell of sunscreen products and rocking your favorite sunglasses. Finding sunnies that truly fit and accentuate your face can be difficult - you might long to don bold aviators like your favorite stars, but if the shape clashes with the lines of your visage, this style can be disastrous. Here are a few tips for picking out the perfect pair of shades.

Heart-shaped
Ladies with heart-shaped faces, like the adorable Hayden Panettiere, tend to have wide foreheads, narrow jaw lines and high cheekbones, a pro from LensCrafters told Cosmopolitan magazine.

The best way to compliment this shape is with gorgeous and stylish cat-eye sunglasses. These beauties tend to wing out toward the eyebrows, similar to the shape of a cat's eye. You can opt to go wild wearing a pair of cat-eye shades with a bold animal print, or you could tone the style down for a more demure approach with an all black or brown pair.

Oval-shaped
If you were blessed with an oval-shaped face like New York City socialite Olivia Palermo or the stunning Zoe Saldana, you tend to have a very proportional face, with a narrow forehead and jaw line as well as a delicate chin.

Luckily for you, this face shape is the easiest to pair with sunglasses, and you're pretty much free to don any style you like. However, the fashion gurus at Elle magazine suggest trying a rounded cat-eye style to stun in 2013. On the same note, a pair of oversized Jackie O- shades could be more dramatic.

Round-faced
Ladies who were blessed with adorable round faces like Kate Bosworth or Mila Kunis are encouraged to offset their circular shapes with more angular-style sunglasses. The pros at LensCrafters told Cosmo it's best to look for shades with angles and harder lines to compliment the softer lines round-faced ladies have.

A perfect trend to try is the popular wayfarer style. However, it's important to find a pair that has a bigger frame than a traditional pair to ensure the sunglasses don't look too small on your face. You could also opt to represent the oversized rectangular look, similar to those worn by round-faced cuties Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Elle reports.

No matter your face shape, the best accessories to rock with a new pair of shades include a fabulous wide-brim sun hat and Bliss products like the Bliss Fabulous Everyday Face Lotion SPF 15 to avoid sun damage.
