Party on with these festive hairstyles

Your calendar is most likely pretty crowded next month with holiday and New Years bashes. As you prepare for endless festivities and wonder how you're going to balance your busy schedule with finding the perfect ensembles to wear to each soirée, don't fret -  these luscious party-hair ideas will leave you some time to get your looks together.

Try one of these ultra-stylish beauty trends and you'll be ready to linger under the mistletoe in no time:

Wave on
At the end of a long year, it's time to let your hair down - literally. Let your long locks flow with just some slight twists. For a more carefree look that still has some edge, try some beach-y waves, which aren't exclusive to the summer sunshine. The easy-to-do look can be attained several ways. If you're pressed for time, let your hair air dry and then wrap 1 inch sections of your strands around a curling iron, leaving the last two or three inches out - straighter ends will keep the look from seeming too pristine or overdone. Or, you can braid four sections of your hair, leaving the braids in for an hour or more. Once you undo the braids, break them apart with your fingertips. A quick spritz of a texturizing spray will keep the style looking piece-y without the grease.

If you're attending a dressier occasion, then opt for voluminous curls, which add some pizzazz to any outfit. Before blow-drying your hair with a large round brush, mist the Steiner Abundance Volumizing Spray for Fine Hair all over your strands for complete coverage. Curl the hair all around your head with a 1-inch iron, holding the tool horizontally so you have a thicker wave. Next, make a deep side part and pull some of the curls to one side, securing them with a jeweled barrette just above your ear.

On the up
This winter season, it might be fun to play around with some glamorous updos. A quick way to make your hair look red-carpet ready without the fuss is the high ponytail, which has a bit of a retro vibe. All you need to do is flip your head upside down and gather all your hair at the crown, keeping it together with a clear elastic. Then, take a section of hair from the back of your head and wrap it around the base of the pony, tucking the ends in the back. For some added volume, gently back-comb the pony, breaking it up with your fingers as you go along.
