Hairstyles set to take over this fall

With a new season comes new handbags, clothes and accessories. While picking out sassy boots, leather jackets and heavier jewelry is exciting, switching up your hairstyle can be equally as invigorating. Since summer is winding down, it may be a good idea to figure out what styles will be hot for fall and winter to feel fabulous and fresh in a flash.

Here are a few trendy hairstyles to call your own:

Lob
The lob, or "long bob" made famous by celebs like Nicole Richie and Jennifer Lawrence, will continue to make a statement well into fall. According to Cosmopolitan magazine, a great way to dress this hairdo up is to slick it back for a modern, glossy style.

Richie has donned this look to various red carpet events, and you can too. To achieve the sleek lob, start by blowing out your hair and using hair products like a straightener and Steiner Dire Straights Flat Iron Straightening Lotion 150ml to keep frizz and flyaways at bay. Next, create an exaggerated side part and tuck your hair behind your ears. Finish with a styling spray like Phytolaque Soie XL Finishing Spray to keep your locks tame.

Shoulder-length maven
Medium-long do's are a win for most face shapes, and stars like Kristen Bell and Chloe Moretz prove the style can be sassy and sexy too, Redbook magazine reports. While this length gives you the option to pull your hair up into a topknot or ponytail, there are more chic ways to pull off this trend as well.

A simple way to add style to your shoulder-length mane is to first blow dry your hair and then apply Steiner Abundance Volumizing Spray for Fine Hair 150ml to help your locks retain its style. Next, part your hairdo one side and use a one-inch curling iron to softly wave the hair that shapes your face.

On the side opposite of your part, take a few strands, enough so your ear will show, and twist it back, using bobby pins to secure the pieces. Hide the pins underneath the hair you've pulled the front parts back to for a fabulous finish. This play on the classic pinup girl look is sure to garner plenty of attention.

Other styles to try
While these options will look great with certain hair lengths, other styles work well with locks of any cut. Beachy waves are still in for fall, as are messy bangs that can easily cover your forehead or part to one side for a side-swept appearance.
