Do you dare try bangs?

Do you dare try bangs?

Hairstyles continue to come and go, and some ladies may be leery to try something new because let's face it - when it comes to hair - change is more permanent than, say, opting for a bold nail polish at your next manicure appointment. Even though it might be hard to pull the trigger, one of the most popular trends as of late is bangs.

Major stars like Taylor Swift, Zooey Deschanel, Kerry Washington and even first lady Michelle Obama, have all been seen sporting bangs recently, and perhaps you should too! The experts at InStyle magazine and TheHairStyler.com recently broke down everything you need to know about this hairstyle before you decide to go under the knife.

Frizz is not your friend
The style gurus at the magazine report one of the biggest issues ladies thinking about bangs need to consider is dealing with frizz. Not only can this issue make your slicked and styled bangs get big, it can also create curls and other bang no-nos. Luckily, by gearing yourself with the right hair products - mainly anti-frizz creams and serums - you can enjoy your bangs without trouble.

You can lock out frizz and keep your bangs looking as sultry as ever by applying a product like Steiner Shine Drops Hair Serum 50ml to your damp hair and then using a blow dryer and a round brush to help mix the serum in with your locks.

Time is not on your side
If you're the type of girl that enjoys jumping out of the shower, applying a bit of styling cream and heading out the door, then bangs might not be the best option for you. Bangs take more work than other styles since you'll need to account for fixing them if you wake up with bed head, in addition to dealing with frizz and other styling woes, TheHairstylers.com reports.

Bangs aren't best for all hair types
The last issue to consider before heading to the chair for bangs is what type of hair you have. Ladies with straight, fine locks might actually enhance their look with voluminous bangs that help shape their faces and add a bit of drama. However, women with beautiful curls might want to avoid this style at all cost - there is nothing worse than rocking curls with straight bangs. Plus, women with curly hair textures might have a harder time keeping frizzy bangs at bay, adding more time to their morning routine and tons of stress.
